Wednesday Transfer News: Done Deals, Mourinho Wants Hazard Reunion, Arsenal Star Wants Chelsea Return
Mourinho Wants Hazard Reunion
Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly plotting a summer reunion with former Chelsea star Eden Hazard. The Portuguese boss coached the Belgian international during his second spell at Stamford Bridge between 2013 and 2015.
Hazard has had a frustrating time with Real Madrid since he left the Blues in 2019 and has been hampered with several injuries.
Arsenal Star Wants Chelsea Return
Willian desires a Chelsea return as his brief stint at Arsenal already appears to be coming to an end, according to Sky Sports. The Brazilian has also been connected to Inter Miami of MLS, but joining the Blues would present a greater opportunity to play on big stages.
However, Thomas Tuchel's attacking options are plentiful and the 32-year-old could struggle to find regular playing time over the likes of Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, among others.
TORRES NOT FOCUSED ON UNITED LINKS
Pau Torres is determined to help hometown club Villarreal to a historic Europa League triumph on Wednesday as the defender blocks out speculation linking him to opponents Manchester United.
PSG & Atletico in €30m Mukiele chase
Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid will battle for versatile RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele, reports Bild. The 23-year-old French player can operate both in central defence and as a full-back. He made 21 starts in the Bundesliga this past season. Mukiele is reportedly valued at €30 million ($36m/£26m).
MAIGNAN CLOSE TO MILAN MOVE
Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan is closing on a move to AC Milan after passing a medical on Tuesday. Maignan is expected to sign a five-year deal with the Serie A club and will cost Milan an initial fee in the region of £12m, with bonuses on top of that.
Atletico hope to renew Trippier amid Man Utd interest
Atletico Madrid have offered Kieran Trippier a new contract in an effort to fend off potential interest from Manchester United, who are tracking the full-back, according to The Telegraph.
